Juleen Burgers: w/ Mediterranean Menu

I recently dined with a friend at Juleen Burgers, a new spot in town. The burgers were outstanding. My friend chose the Mushroom Burger, which was a beef patty topped with mushrooms and all the usual fixings. I went for the Juleen Burger, which came with bacon and was equally composed of all the usual fixings.

I haven’t sampled their Mediterranean menu yet, but from the photos, it seems like it might surpass the burgers in flavor, texture, and presentation. A return visit is definitely on my agenda to explore those traditional Mediterranean dishes.
Also it should be mentioned that their meats are sourced and cooked under strict standards of halal. Choosing halal meats can be seen as beneficial for health due to their often stricter standards on animal rearing, slaughter methods and the absence of certain chemicals and hormones, which can be problematic with mass-produced meats in the U.S.

The ambiance here is unique. They play music, and there’s a TV showing the news with the sound off, which I greatly appreciate. Personally, I avoid places where TV audio is blaring; I haven’t watched TV with the sound on in over 15 years as it’s unsettling for my nervous system. I commend Juleen Burgers for prioritizing music over intrusive TV sounds.

Regarding the music, it’s mostly mainstream pop, which tends to glorify materialism. There might be a cultural or linguistic disconnect here, as the staff seemed to struggle with English nuances. It might be beneficial for them to collaborate with someone versed in music selection or to consider licensing more fitting tunes through organizations like BMI or ASCAP.

The service style is self-serve for both food and seating, with the option to include a tip in the transaction.

I wish this establishment all the best and see potential for growth. While there are aspects for improvement from my first visit, I’ll keep those suggestions private for now.

Definitely give their burgers a try, and look forward to my updated review once I’ve tasted their Mediterranean offerings.
