I was influenced by Korean food at a very young age so it was more than impulse that got me inside this relatively new dive joint. Now I call it a dive joint mainly because it is one of those eat in places where you serve yourself. No waiters, waitresses or bus-folk. Given that the place focuses mostly on Chicken dishes while I felt all chickened out from prior meals that I decided to compromise my low starch diet with a recognized old time favorite: Kimchi Fried Rice. While I am familiar with the over easy eggs in dishes like Bibibop I was delighted to find that with the Kimchi Fried Rice. It was a nice balance with the rice. Moreover the staff offered me to wait 35 minutes for fresh batch of rice, which demonstrates their care for food integrity in everything being freshly prepared and made. More-over I am going to add this place to my list of dives that is laptop friendly if running off the battery is not an issue; I am doing that right now as I write this. This is definitely a cool place to check out. And don’t let my choice of food deter an interest. If you like Chicken you will find a dish here to suit your palette even if you’ve never tried Korean food or Korean BBQ. Also they have an allergy chart on display for anyone concerned about ingredients with any food allergies they may have. They also side dishes fresh to order from French fries, onion rings to fried dumplings and even coleslaw.
